Pool & Spa Barrier Compliance Certificates

Laws introduced by the Victorian Government to improve Swimming Pool and Spa Safety, to prevent drowning of young children, require you to engage a registered Building Inspector to Inspect and issue a barrier Compliance Certificate (Form 23) every four years.

1. Review applicable checklist by clicking below, with your barrier and repair as necessary before inspection.

POOLS AND SPAS INSTALLED BEFORE April 8 1991 Checklist 1

FOR POOLS AND SPAS INSTALLED BETWEEN 8 APRIL 1991 AND 30 APRIL Checklist 2

FOR POOLS AND SPAS INSTALLED AFTER MAY 2010 Checklist 3

2. Contact us for a suitable inspection day and time Ph 0439990057. Following the inspection, we issue a Certificate of Compliance (Form 23) that you will upload to the council, if the barrier is not compliant, a detailed report is issued and you will have 60 days to make repairs and have reinspection.

 

3. Barriers are then reinspected every 4 years.  Ensure Barrier is maintained to compliance.
